1. WATERLESS CLEANING
Our #1 hygiene goal in food production is to eliminate pathogens.  With standard cleaning, the water used helps to create an environment where pathogens can survive.  This is why dry ice blasting is perfect for the F&B industry; it is a waterless cleaning technology.  No water, no moisture to support pathogens.
No water also has two other benefits to production – it is dry and non-conductive.
As the name says, dry ice blasting is a dry method of cleaning, therefore no time is wasted waiting for your factory to dry out before resuming production.
Waterless cleaning also makes dry ice blasting non-conductive, meaning it is perfect for cleaning around or inside electrical cabinets, wiring and sensitive equipment.

2. CLEANS HOT PLANT
Dry ice blasting can clean your plant while it is still hot.  This removes the time spent waiting for your plant to cool down.
What’s more, the greater the contrast between the extreme cold (-78°C) of dry ice and the temperature of the surface being cleaned, the more effective the process is.  Because of this, dry ice is actually most effective when cleaning a hot surface.

3. ZERO SECONDARY WASTE
Besides dry ice blasting, every other method of cleaning produces some kind of secondary waste.  Dry ice blasting works through a process called sublimation, where the frozen CO₂ returns to gas as soon as it hits a surface.  This means the dislodged waste from the surface is all that is left to sweep up.
Why is this perfect for food producers?  No secondary waste means no chemicals, no dirty water, no soiled consumables and no worrying about removing these foreign material before they contaminate your product.
